Songkran Festivities Bring Joyful Water Splashing to Khao San Road

Bangkok: The third day of Songkran celebrations on Khao San Road was marked by vibrant water splashing and a joyful atmosphere as large crowds participated in the traditional Thai New Year festivities.

According to Thai News Agency, the lively atmosphere drew people to the area, with participants gradually arriving to partake in the water festivities. The activities took place along Khao San Road and extended to nearby Ratchadamnoen Road, near the Khok Wua intersection, as well as Tanao Road, which served as an exit point for the water fights.

The nearly 500-meter stretch of Khao San Road was filled with people happily splashing water on each other, accompanied by lively music playing on both sides of the road. The upbeat and exciting rhythms attracted many to dance, adding to the vibrant mood of the celebrations. Police officers were present to ensure security as the festivities continued to draw crowds eager to join in the fun.
