Sophon Saram Pays Respects to Sacred Monuments Ahead of Prime Ministerial Vote

Bangkok: This morning, Mr. Sophon Saram, Speaker of the House of Representatives, paid respects at the shrines of Phra Siam Thewathirat, Phra Suea Mueang, Phra Song Mueang, Phra Phum Chai Mongkol, and the ancestral spirits at the area next to the lotus roundabout, the entrance on Thahan Road, near the Parliament building.

According to Thai News Agency, before paying respects to the original statue of King Prajadhipok inside the Parliament Museum, Mr. Sophon briefly stated, "May the country and its people be happy," after completing his respects, and then proceeded to the 3rd floor of the Parliament building to pay respects to the Buddha statue in the Buddhist Way of Life Room.

Afterward, Mr. Sophon led a team of officials to inspect the parliamentary meeting room in preparation for tomorrow's session, which includes the crucial vote for the Prime Minister. He instructed the parliamentary staff to promptly address any problems or issues that need to be resolved to ensure a smooth vote for the Prime Minister tomorrow.
