Bangkok: Sophon Saram, a prominent member of the Bhumjaithai Party and a candidate for Speaker of the House, showed signs of embarrassment when addressed as "Mr. Speaker" during the registration process for the 27th House of Representatives.
According to Thai News Agency, the atmosphere on the eighth day of registration was lively, with many leaders from the Bhumjaithai Party in attendance. This included Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul, present in his capacity as the party leader, and Sophon Saram, the Buriram MP. Despite being a candidate for Speaker, Sophon declined to give an interview and responded shyly to the media's playful address, stating, "Wait until they choose me."
