Da lat: In a tranquil corner of Da Lat, a unique caf© is proving that meaningful connections don't always require words. At "L?ng Art Caf©," young people with hearing impairments are building confidence and self-reliance while serving customers with warmth, dedication, and sincerity.
According to Thai News Agency, Lang Art Cafe experiences a continuous stream of visitors from near and far on an ordinary weekday. The staff are well-versed in their work, and one of the notable aspects is that, despite the hustle and bustle, the cafe remains surprisingly peaceful. This serene atmosphere is because all the staff members are hearing impaired.
Nguyen Thi Linh from Ho Chi Minh City shared, "Even though they couldn't speak the language, communication wasn't difficult at all. We understood each other, and I was very impressed." Another visitor, Phan Cac Luc, also from Ho Chi Minh City, remarked, "I truly admire their efforts. They can't speak the language, but they are very enthusiastic and dedicated to serving customers."
Established five years ago, Lang Art Cafe provides employment opportunities for hearing-impaired students studying at the Cam Ly Centre for Inclusive Education Support and Development in Lam Dong province. This unique concept has made the cafe a gathering place for those who appreciate tranquility and compassion for their fellow human beings.
The cafe boasts simple decor and offers only basic drinks. However, these are enough to leave visitors with unforgettable memories of a place where people connect more genuinely than with words. For many hearing-impaired youths, Lang Art Cafe is more than just a workplace; it's a place where they begin their journey towards self-reliance.
