Bangkok: Srinakharinwirot University recently organized a groundbreaking workshop titled "Board Game: Innovative Skill-Enhancing and Fun Learning for New-Trend Teachers." The event, held at the university's Central Library, attracted educators from 100 schools nationwide, highlighting the growing interest in utilizing board games as effective teaching tools.
According to Thai News Agency, the workshop was a collaborative effort with TARO, a leading Thai healthy snack brand. TARO has a longstanding commitment to integrating educational activities for children and promoting good health through innovative snacks. The collaboration aimed to introduce an "Edutainment" format to modern classrooms, aligning with the digital age's educational needs. The enthusiastic response, with all 100 slots filled within three hours, underscores the interest in these teaching methods.
The event included a special panel discussion, "Learning Through Innovative Educational Board Games," featuring Assistant Professor Dr. Woraphol Aramrasmikul and Dr. Chisanupong Intrakasem from Srinakharinwirot University. They shared insights into the role of board games in developing 21st-century skills among learners. Additionally, Dr. Trai Anyapho delivered a lecture on the use of educational board games, providing teachers with practical techniques for classroom application.
Participating educators received certificates from TARO and the university, along with board game materials to implement in their classrooms. This initiative reflects a broader mission to enhance the educational experience, promote health, and encourage environmental awareness, as seen in TARO's "Taro Loves the Earth with 3R Card Game" activity. The collaboration between TARO and Srinakharinwirot University exemplifies a successful partnership between the private and educational sectors, fostering sustainable development and holistic education for young learners.
