Bangkok: Srinakharinwirot University is preparing to set up a fact-finding committee to investigate allegations of corruption in the local government official examination. The university affirmed its full cooperation with relevant agencies to ensure accurate, complete, timely, comprehensive, and fair information is obtained for all parties involved.
According to Thai News Agency, Srinakharinwirot University issued a statement indicating its consideration of establishing a fact-finding committee to investigate allegations regarding the operations of the Office of Educational and Psychological Testing. The university expressed its readiness to work with relevant agencies, aiming to obtain accurate, complete, timely, comprehensive, and fair information for all involved parties. Additionally, the university committed to disclosing all legally permitted information to ensure a transparent and credible outcome, thereby restoring public trust.
Meanwhile, Mr. Pattanapong Chanpetchapool, Assistant Secretary-General of the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC), mentioned after a meeting with university executives that the Rector of Srinakharinwirot University had instructed staff to cooperate fully with authorities. This includes providing all relevant documents and information regarding the examination process. He added that while assessing the situation, they would focus on the actual examination papers rather than immediately executing a search warrant for the stored examination papers.
