In the south, Ngao District, Lampang Province, the drilling rate is 0.5 meters per day, and when including the new double-track railway project. It is considered progress of approximately 3% of the total construction. The other 3 tunnels, namely Doi Luang Tunnel, Chiang Rai Province, length 3.4 kilometers, have recently been entered into the area. Tomorrow (11 Nov. 2023), SRT will visit the area to follow up on progress. As for the Ngao Tunnel, Lampang Province, with a length of 6.2 kilometers, it is considered the longest railway tunnel in Thailand. and the second tunnel in Phrae Province has a length of 1.2 meters. It is expected that both of these tunnels will begin drilling at the end of 2023.
