State Welfare Cardholders to Receive Additional 850 Baht in Monthly Payments

Bangkok: Starting today, 13.4 million state welfare cardholders are set to receive an increase in financial assistance to help reduce their living expenses. A new registration round is planned for early 2026.

According to Thai News Agency, Prime Minister’s Office Spokesperson Siripong Angkasakulkiat announced that welfare payments will be credited to the accounts of state welfare cardholders on the first day of every month. The payments of 850 baht per person per month are scheduled for November 1, 2025, and December 1, 2025, totaling 1,700 baht per person.

The spokesperson highlighted that the Cabinet has approved a project to enhance the welfare limit for cardholders in 2025. This decision aims to alleviate living costs, boost purchasing power, and stimulate economic circulation by the year’s end. Consequently, it is expected to generate a chain reaction of consumption, production, and investment, contributing to economic growth and benefiting the national economy. Additionally, the Cabinet has extended temporary extra welfare benefits to the 13.4 million cardholders under the 2022 state welfare registration program.

Cardholders will receive an additional credit limit of 850 baht per month, in addition to the existing 300 baht per month, for two months from November to December 2025. The credit limit must be utilized within the month as it will not carry over. It can be spent at Blue Flag shops and other Ministry of Commerce-designated outlets on essential consumer goods, educational products, and agricultural raw materials.

“The benefits for cardholders remain unchanged. The government is preparing for a new registration round in early 2026. Criteria, conditions, and qualifications will be updated to align with the current economic climate, ensuring that the aid reaches those who truly need it. This initiative aims to reduce cost burdens and enhance the quality of life for cardholders,” stated Mr. Siripong.
