Suchart Rushes to Alleviate Flooding in Hat Yai

Hat yai: Deputy Prime Minister Suchart is rushing to alleviate flooding in Hat Yai. The deputy government spokesperson is delivering self-heating noodles to villagers, helping them cope with food shortages and power outages.

According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Lalida Periswiwatana, Deputy Government Spokesperson, revealed that Mr. Suchart Chomklin, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Natural Resources and Environment, has ordered the delivery of relief supplies to assist flood-affected people in Hat Yai District, Songkhla Province.

1,200 pots of instant noodles, which can be heated without using hot water, were flown by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment’s plane for urgent distribution to flood-affected communities. This follows the discovery that many communities lack electricity, making cooking difficult and partially disrupting transportation.

The product is supported by Yihai Food Thailand, the manufacturer and distributor of Haidilao brand products, which has joined forces to provide people with access to safe, heated, and ready-to-eat food, even without gas or electricity.

The deputy spokesperson said Mr. Suchart emphasized the highest priority on public safety and has ordered all units under the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment to rapidly integrate assistance forces, including aircraft, helicopters, field personnel, and support teams, to ensure assistance reaches all areas as quickly as possible.

Ms. Lalida stated that this is a difficult time for our brothers and sisters in the flooded areas. Therefore, we are working to deliver immediately available food to alleviate their suffering first. We will closely report the situation to the Prime Minister. The government and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment will continue to carry out relief operations until the situation improves.
