According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Sudawan Wangsupakitkosol, a Member of Parliament (list system) and Deputy Leader of the Pheu Thai Party, commented on the summons issued by the Department of Special Investigation (DSI) regarding charges of trespassing on land used for livestock grazing at "Haad Suan Ya," Sri Wichian Subdistrict, Nam Yuen District, Ubon Ratchathani Province. She stated that the incident occurred while she was a company director, and therefore the lawsuit was filed in her capacity as a company director. She added that all her transactions were conducted legally, and that she would need to examine the details and provide clarification. She concluded that she could explain these matters.
When asked when she would appear to acknowledge the charges, Ms. Sudawan said that it would be postponed because she was not yet aware of the schedule or dates. A specific date had not been set for when she would appear to acknowledge the charges, and another appointment would need to be arranged.
When asked if the case emerged during a political transition period and whether she was concerned about anything, Ms. Sudawan said that on March 20th, she saw herself all day. She couldn't say she wasn't concerned because it was big news, so she was a little stressed. However, she is ready to proceed according to legal procedures and will follow the steps.
