Summer Storm Damages Roof at Nakhon Ratchasima Station

Mukdahan: A summer storm has caused damage to the roof of the platform at Nakhon Ratchasima station. The State Railway of Thailand (SRT) is urgently addressing the situation, confirming that there have been no injuries and that they are closely monitoring the station's safety.

According to Thai News Agency, the State Railway of Thailand (SRT) reported that on April 17, 2026, around 7:00 PM, a summer storm struck, bringing thunderstorms and strong winds that damaged the roof covering platforms 2-3 within the Nakhon Ratchasima station area, spanning approximately 70 meters.

Initial investigations confirmed there were no injuries or fatalities due to the incident. Relevant authorities responded promptly to control the situation and expedite repairs. Maintenance personnel are conducting thorough inspections of the track and surrounding structures to assess the impact and prevent further risks. Despite the damage, train operations were not affected.
