Bangkok: Challenging accusations against Bhumjaithai Party members to present evidence regarding the Senate selection controversy, Supachai emphasizes that such accusations must be supported by evidence. According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Supachai Jaisamut, Chairman of the Legal Working Group for the Bhumjaithai Party's party-list MP, expressed his opinion on Facebook regarding the allegations made by Mr. Yingcheep about the selection of Senate members. Supachai stated that accusations implying illegal activities require clear proof, especially when they involve Bhumjaithai Party members.

He insisted that specific details such as actions, timelines, involved parties, intent, and violated laws must be provided to substantiate such claims. Supachai stressed the importance of protecting the reputation and rights of Bhumjaithai Party members by law. He acknowledged the necessity of a full investigation if genuine evidence is presented, without offering protection or exemption. However, he warned against substituting social or political connections for concrete evidence of wrongdoing.

Supachai further highlighted the role of the Election Commission (EC), a legally mandated body, that must base its judgments on factual evidence and legal provisions rather than media headlines or social pressures. He concluded by urging the disclosure of all evidence and warned Mr. Yingcheep of the consequences of any actions causing damage to individuals or the Bhumjaithai Party.
