Bangkok: “Supajee” has requested a meeting with the Minister of Tourism to discuss the proposed idea of charging Thai citizens a 1,000 baht fee for traveling abroad. The request emphasizes the need for careful consideration before moving forward with the proposal.
According to Thai News Agency, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce, Supajee Suthamphan, who oversees the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, spoke after a Cabinet meeting about Minister of Tourism and Sports, Surasak Panjaroenvorakul’s proposal. Supajee highlighted that any decision on the matter would require Cabinet approval. She also noted that Minister Surasak must present the proposal details to her before any action is taken. Supajee has not yet reviewed the specifics and intends to discuss them thoroughly with Minister Surasak.
