Bangkok: Supamas Isarabhakdi has dispelled rumors about a potential merger between MCOT and Thai PBS, assuring that employees will not be abandoned and preparations are underway for a seamless transition.

According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Suphamas Isarabhakdi, Minister attached to the Prime Minister's Office and supervisor of MCOT, confirmed that the merger rumor is unfounded. She highlighted ongoing collaboration with the State Enterprise Policy Office (SEPO) to prevent financial losses for MCOT, emphasizing the government's commitment to the organization and its workforce.

During a briefing at Government House, Ms. Suphamas addressed concerns about the merger speculation. She clarified that her inquiries with MCOT management and SEPO revealed no plans for a merger. For the past year, SEPO has worked with MCOT to ensure financial stability, with a strategic plan set to be submitted on September 25th.

Ms. Suphamas urged employees to remain confident in the government's efforts to support MCOT, assuring that any changes will be aimed at enhancing the organization's future. She emphasized that the government prioritizes the stability and morale of the employees and the organization.
