Suphamas Holds Strategic Meeting with Media to Publicize Royal Cremation Ceremony

Bangkok: Suphamas convened a meeting with media organizations and online media to publicize information about the Royal Cremation Ceremony, drawing on well-known influencers to communicate the information to the public in an easy-to-understand manner, in accordance with ancient royal traditions, and in keeping with His Majesty’s honor.

According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Supamas Isaraphakdi, Minister to the Prime Minister’s Office, chaired a meeting of media organizations and online media to jointly publicize the Royal Cremation Ceremony of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit the Queen Mother. Ms. Supamas emphasized the importance of disseminating accurate, clear, and easily accessible information regarding the ceremony.

Ms. Supamas stated after the meeting that she had invited various media agencies, including digital and online media platforms, to discuss and plan public relations strategies for the royal cremation ceremony. The meeting included participation from the Digital Media Association, the Online News Producers Association, the Mass Media of Thailand, the Thai Journalists Association, and representatives from major platforms such as Facebook Thailand, TikTok Thailand, and LINE TODAY, with the Public Relations Department serving as the focal point.

Ms. Supamas highlighted the need for the information to be easily understandable, accessible, and accurate, in line with ancient royal traditions. She stressed that this is a matter of utmost importance to all Thai people, serving as a way to honor and express gratitude for Her Majesty Queen Sirikit the Queen Mother.

Furthermore, Ms. Supamas assigned the Public Relations Department to act as a central information hub, ensuring that all media channels can utilize thoroughly verified information. This approach aims to prevent discrepancies and build public trust.

Ms. Supamas concluded by acknowledging the crucial role of online media and urged closer collaboration to create content suitable for all audiences. She recommended using simple language and collaborating with influencers to disseminate information both domestically and internationally, ensuring the event is communicated in the most honorable manner.
