Surachai Sombatcharoen Denies Courtroom Incident Allegations, Swears Before Buddha

Bangkok: It's not over yet! Surachai Sombatcharoen swore before a Buddha image, claiming Rocky fabricated the story and insisting the incident of him banging his head on the courtroom bench was untrue.

According to Thai News Agency, radio host Rocky Surabodin, along with his mother Jeab Attapornphim and three sisters, gave interviews discussing the rift with their father, Surachai Sombatcharoen. The tension arose after Surachai introduced Diana, his wife of over 40 years, whom he legally married in the United States. Surachai commented on his family in Thailand, stating, "What you see here is a duty and responsibility that I have completed."

In one notable interview, Rocky recounted a moment in court where he claimed his father became extremely angry, ran to bang his head against the edge of the courtroom, and shouted, "Let me go! Let me go!" The event reportedly left Rocky and everyone present in the courtroom shocked and confused.

Most recently, Surachai Sombatcharoen posted a video of himself raising his hands in a prayerful gesture before a Buddha statue, addressing his son, Rocky. Surachai refuted Rocky's accusation of headbutting the courtroom bench, stating, "Namo Tassa Bhagawato Arahato Samma Sambuddhassa (3 times). My name is Surachai Sombatcharoen. Before the sacred Buddha statue, I wish to tell the truth. Mr. Surabodin (Rocky), while entering court, turned his face away when he saw me and walked into the courtroom without greeting me at all. And he accused me in the courtroom area of ??headbutting the courtroom bench. What he said is not true. In front of the Buddha statue..."

Surachai further addressed the accusations by saying, "Regarding his accusations and his statement, 'Come home, Dad, don't stress about anything. Let's talk about it at home,' that was a lie. He didn't say a single word to me. He lied in front of social media and the press."

In his video, Surachai concluded with a solemn prayer, "May the Lord be my witness if he speaks a lie. May I prosper if he speaks the truth, and may he prosper if he speaks the truth. But if he lies to the media and social media, may nature judge him according to the slander he has committed against his parents. This is my prayer before the sacred Buddha image in the United States. Amen (3 times)."
