Bangkok: Thailand has launched a significant new initiative to address economic hardship by appointing Suradej Taweesangsakulthai as the head of its economic team under the Thai Sang Thai Party. Suradej, known for his role in co-creating the Khon Kaen Model and leading Thai businesses into the NASDAQ market, is set to spearhead innovative solutions aimed at improving livelihoods without relying solely on government funding.
According to Thai News Agency, Khunying Sudarat Keyuraphan, leader of the Thai Sang Thai Party, officially announced Suradej’s entry into politics, entrusting him with the responsibility of overseeing the nation’s economic and sustainability policies. This initiative aims to harness past successes to integrate economic structures and promote collaboration between the private sector, local authorities, and the central government to reduce inequality and create tangible change.
The Thai Sang Thai Party emphasizes its commitment to selecting high-quality personnel, as reflected in its motto: “No corruption, experienced, successful work.” Suradej is regarded as a rare talent, blending skills in engineering, technology, finance, and public administration with over a decade of experience as a public policy lecturer. The party believes Suradej can aid in “Restarting Thailand” by reforming the civil service, combating corruption, overhauling laws, developing human resources, and reviving the economy to address the country’s five major challenges.
