Bangkok: “Tok Khlong Toei,” the man who shot and injured a police officer and three juveniles, has been arrested. The suspect, whose real name is Mr. Burin, was apprehended by police while hiding in a hotel in Samut Prakan. This arrest concludes a tense manhunt following the shooting incident in Khlong Toei.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Burin, also known as Mr. Tok, is accused of shooting Police Lieutenant Paiboon Chanoonan, Deputy Inspector (Patrol) of Tha Ruea Police Station. The officer was injured while attempting to arrest Mr. Burin at the Lock 4-5-6 community in Khlong Toei. The incident also resulted in injuries to two 14-year-old juveniles, who were struck by stray bullets.

The arrest of Mr. Tok was a coordinated effort involving the Metropolitan Police Investigation Division, the Investigation Division of Metropolitan Police Division 5, and the Investigation Unit of Tha Ruea Police Station. They successfully located and detained Mr. Tok at a hotel in Samut Prakan Province.

The Bangkok South Criminal Court had issued an arrest warrant for Mr. Tok on December 25, 2025. The charges include attempted murder of a police officer, resisting arrest, illegal possession of firearms and ammunition, carrying a firearm in public without justification, and firing a gun in a public place without justification.

Additionally, Mr. Tok has an outstanding arrest warrant from December 16, 2025, issued by the Bangkok South Criminal Court. This warrant includes charges of attempted murder, causing grievous bodily harm, and carrying a weapon in public without justification, related to an assault on April 14th that left four residents injured, three of them seriously.

Further insight into Mr. Tok’s criminal history was provided by a victim identified as Mr. Top. The victim recounted a previous altercation with Mr. Tok, which led to an arrest warrant for attempted murder. This altercation began with a dispute over a fallen milk carton during Songkran, escalating to violence when Mr. Tok attacked relatives of Mr. Top with brass knuckles. Mr. Top suffered severe injuries, including cuts to his arms and back, while his brother sustained a lung-penetrating stab wound. This incident resulted in charges of attempted murder against Mr. Tok, who then fled until his recent arrest.
