Bangkok: Suvarnabhumi Airport has issued an apology and disciplinary action against security personnel for their inappropriate behavior following a video showing a confrontation with a group of Chinese fans who caused disturbances and violated security measures. The airport stated that the incident stemmed from 22 fans attempting to break down the jet bridge door to board flight TG 674, forcing Thai Airways to deny them boarding and causing flight delays.

According to Thai News Agency, the incident occurred on July 29, 2026, at 11:00 PM. A group of Chinese fans followed their artist on flight TG 674, from Suvarnabhumi Airport to Beijing. They illegally entered the passenger lounge, despite not having the right to do so, prompting airline staff to request security personnel to escort them out. However, the fans continued to cause disturbances, following the artist to the hold room and the boarding bridge. They also refused to comply with boarding pass checks and attempted to rush onto the aircraft, forcing staff to temporarily close the aircraft doors and push the group back into the hold room.

Due to behavior that posed a safety risk to aviation, Thai Airways decided to deny boarding to a group of 22 fans, resulting in flight delays. However, 10 fans refused to have their luggage offloaded and displayed dissatisfaction, provoking staff and leading to the clash seen in the video. Subsequently, Air Commodore Chananat Rodkul, Director of Security at Suvarnabhumi Airport, acknowledged that some staff members had behaved inappropriately and that disciplinary action had been taken. He also instructed all parties to control their emotions and strictly adhere to safety standards in the future.
