According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Surawong Thienthong, Minister of Tourism and Sports and Secretary-General of the Pheu Thai Party, attended the Bhumjaithai Party’s 17th anniversary celebration at the party office. Representing Ms. Paethongtarn Shinawatra, Prime Minister and Leader of the Pheu Thai Party, Mr. Surawong congratulated Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, for his leadership and ongoing contributions to the country.
During the event, a reporter inquired about the government’s stability and whether the parties would remain united until the end of the term. At that moment, Mr. Anutin joined the discussion, and the two leaders symbolically created a heart shape with their hands, demonstrating their commitment to cooperation. Mr. Surawong emphasized the Prime Minister’s stance that the government should work collaboratively until its term concludes.
Addressing questions about differing opinions within the coalition, Mr. Surawong likened political disagreements to sibling disputes, acknowledging that while differing views exist, dialogue and understanding are paramount. He assured that once the government is established, collaborative efforts would prevail.
Following the interview, Mr. Anutin and Mr. Surawong departed together, highlighting their camaraderie and shared commitment to the government’s objectives.
