Taiwanese Man Accused of Assaulting Escort Remains Under Investigation

Bangkok: A female escort was held captive and brutally assaulted by a drug-crazed Taiwanese man.

According to Thai News Agency, the victim, identified as Ms. Pimphilai, reported that the incident occurred when she accepted a job from the man, whom she had known for several months, as he was a regular client at the entertainment venue where she worked.

The situation escalated during a job that began on April 6th and was scheduled to conclude on April 11th, with a daily wage of 10,000 baht. Ms. Pimphilai discovered the client was under the influence of drugs, leading to a violent episode on April 10th. The man reportedly attacked her after overhearing a phone conversation in which she expressed a desire to leave early. The assault included physical violence, threats, and a severe head injury inflicted with a lamp.

After the attack, the assailant took Ms. Pimphilai to the hospital, where she received treatment for her injuries. Despite filing a police report, she claims that little progress has been made in the case, with only a mediation meeting arranged. The perpetrator offered minimal compensation for medical expenses, which did not cover all the incurred costs.

Authorities are currently reviewing the case. The police are examining CCTV footage, collecting evidence, and interviewing witnesses to build a robust case against the perpetrator. A summons will be issued for him to appear in court, and failure to comply could result in an arrest warrant. Additionally, the Immigration Bureau has been alerted to monitor the suspect's movements.
