Bangkok: Actresses Mudmee Pimdao Panichsamai and Data Dralcharas Sukhiwiriya have publicly disclosed their involvement in a fraud scheme orchestrated by a man named "Ajarn T.," the owner of a meditation center. They revealed their story on the "Hone Krasae" program and in several media interviews, reporting a combined loss of over 58 million baht. Ajarn T. allegedly manipulated their beliefs, convincing them to donate money and assets to his center under the guise of cleansing past-life karma. Instead, he used the funds for personal luxury items, including cars, houses, and designer goods. Once aware of the deceit, Mudmee and Data withdrew their support, lodged a legal complaint, and urged others to distance themselves from the fraudulent group. Despite their efforts, some former acquaintances still maintain faith in Ajarn T., who has reportedly fled following the scandal.
According to Thai News Agency, the actresses chose to come forward not only to expose Ajarn T.'s behavior but also to use their experience as a warning to others. They expressed regret for their initial naivety and urged the public to thoroughly verify information before placing trust in it. Mudmee and Data admitted their mistake and hoped their story would help others recognize and avoid similar scams. Nine Entertainment shared an interview clip featuring Mudmee, Data, and another victim, Khwan M.L. Ploynapas Leenutapong, who was defrauded by "Hi-so Ton," on their social media platforms. Following its release on Facebook: 9Entertain, the video received numerous comments, including one from Mudmee herself, using her personal Facebook account, emphasizing the importance of careful consideration to prevent falling victim to similar scams.
Mutmee, through her Facebook account: Mutmee Pimdao, expressed gratitude to the "Hone Krasae" program and its team for allowing them to reveal the full extent of the damage. She hoped their public disclosure would serve as a cautionary tale for those who blindly believe without verification. Emphasizing the prevalence of scams in various forms today, she highlighted the dangers of exploiting faith against vulnerable individuals. Mudmee urged those still involved in such situations to listen to their hearts and awaken from deception, expressing hope that sharing their experiences would benefit society by encouraging critical thinking and skepticism.
