Nagoya: The Thai national sports contingent is gradually arriving in Nagoya, Japan, to compete in the 20th Asian Games. Admiral Apiwat Srivaddhana, head of the Thai delegation, has revealed the latest updates on the Thai national athletes in Japan. According to Thai News Agency, several sports teams, including the men's and women's football and volleyball teams, have already reached Nagoya. On the night of September 14, 2026, the Thai athletic contingent is set to reinforce six more sports: teqball, soft tennis, shooting, water polo, beach volleyball, and sailing. Admiral Apiwat Srivaddhana stated that all preparations have been made to care for the Thai athletes arriving in Nagoya. The Japanese hosts have provided excellent cooperation and assistance. However, a concern is the weather, as it has been raining daily in Nagoya, which may affect the athletes' travel to competition venues and training.
