Thai Elvis, Arthur Hussein, Hospitalized After Collapsing While Driving

Bangkok: Arthur Hussein, widely known as the "Elvis of Thailand," collapsed while driving and was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), causing concern among his fans. Hussein was en route from Pattaya to the "Elvis in Love" concert at Sala Chalermkrung when the incident occurred. The concert host announced that Hussein had fallen ill and required immediate hospitalization, leading to widespread worry among attendees. It was later reported that he received assistance from highway patrol officers.

According to Thai News Agency, Hussein's family provided an update on his condition. On February 15th, while driving to the concert, Hussein contacted highway patrol officers for help as he experienced dizziness, shortness of breath, and difficulty breathing. The officers escorted him to Chulalongkorn 11 Bang Pakong Hospital, where he was admitted to the ICU and required intubation.

The symptoms reported include pulmonary edema and pneumonia. Hussein had been suffering from a persistent cough for nearly two weeks before the incident. Despite a negative ATK test and normal lung sounds during his last doctor's visit, his condition deteriorated, leading to the current situation. Although there has been slight improvement, Hussein remains in critical condition, dependent on a ventilator. He is conscious but unable to speak, experiencing intermittent coughing and phlegm. Arrangements have been made to transfer him to Nopparat Rajathani Hospital, his original healthcare facility. Hussein has expressed gratitude for the support and concern from his fans, and updates on his condition will continue to be shared.
