Thai Government to Launch Traffy Fondue for Immediate Labor Issue Resolution

Bangkok: Thai labor issues are set to be addressed more swiftly with the government's new initiative to use the Traffy Fondue platform to support 45 million Thai workers. The system upgrade, aimed at receiving reports of problems faced by workers and resolving them quickly, is scheduled to launch by early August.

According to Thai News Agency, Lieutenant Colonel Patthadarasmi Thongslueykorn, Deputy Spokesperson for the Prime Minister's Office, announced progress in upgrading government services to the digital age. The Ministry of Labour, in collaboration with the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI), is developing a complaint system via the "Traffy Fondue" platform to provide a channel for complaints and monitor hardships faced by Thai workers. The system is expected to be fully operational by the end of July or early August.

Lieutenant Colonel Patthadarasmi highlighted the government's awareness of issues such as wage inequality, unsafe working conditions, and layoffs. Past complaint channels often faced delays, leading to unresolved issues. The new policy aims to simplify the complaint process, ensuring quick, transparent, and efficient resolution of worker issues.

The Traffy Fondue system will serve as the primary channel for labor-related complaints, covering wages, welfare, working conditions, and human rights violations. Workers can report issues via smartphone by taking photos, pinpointing their location, and specifying the problem. The AI system will analyze the information and send it to the relevant agency, eliminating redundant paperwork. Workers can also track issue resolution in real-time.

The Deputy Spokesperson emphasized that the system will not only assist domestic workers but will also be expanded to cover Thai workers abroad. This expansion aims to ensure their safety and provide assistance anytime, anywhere. The government is confident that leveraging technology will strengthen the protection of Thai workers' rights and is committed to resolving all problems to improve the quality of life for workers.
