Bangkok: The Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs has confirmed that four Thai workers employed in a shrimp farm have safely left Iran and arrived in Trkiye.
According to Thai News Agency, the Pollution Control Department reported that PM2.5 levels exceeded the standard in 28 provinces, primarily in the North and Northeast regions, as of 7:00 AM today. The report highlights a concerning trend for the upcoming week, from March 25-31, with increasing pollution levels expected in 17 provinces in these regions. The affected provinces include Chiang Rai, Nan, Mae Hong Son, Phayao, and several others.
An overview of the Pollution Control Department's report reveals that the northern region predominantly exceeded the standard for particulate matter, with levels ranging from 14.4 to 54.0 micrograms per cubic meter. The northeastern region also showed high levels, with measurements between 29.9 and 72.1 micrograms per cubic meter. In contrast, the central, western, and eastern regions reported good air quality, while the southern region showed very good air quality.
In Bangkok and its surrounding areas, air quality was generally good, with measurements ranging from 9.8 to 29.5 micrograms per cubic meter, as monitored by the Pollution Control Department and the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration. The forecast for March 25-31, 2026, predicts a decrease in air quality in Bangkok, central and western regions, and the eastern region, necessitating continued monitoring in certain areas.
Despite the increasing trend in 17 northern and northeastern provinces, some areas require vigilant observation. Meanwhile, the southern region maintains consistently good air quality.
