Thai Nation Mourns the Passing of Princess Bajrakitiyabha

Bangkok: People across Thailand are expressing their condolences and gratitude for the royal grace of Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendira Debyavadi, Krom Luang Rajasarinisiripatchara Mahavajrarajathida.

According to Thai News Agency, amidst the sorrow of the Thai people over the passing of Her Royal Highness, all sectors of society, from the government and private sectors to the general public, have expressed their deepest condolences. This has led to a continuous increase in orders at many picture framing and printing shops. For instance, at S. Sutthi shop near Wat Muang intersection in Nai Muang Subdistrict, Muang District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, employees are busy preparing and framing portraits of the Princess in various sizes to accommodate the influx of customers. The shop owner, Ms. Aporn, revealed that following the Princess's passing, numerous organizations and individuals have contacted them to order portraits for use in mourning ceremonies, resulting in a 30% increase in orders compared to normal periods.

In Rayong, a reporter visited Auntie Ouan, or Ms. Supawan Wanjiew, a 60-year-old Thai massage therapist. She shared her experience of having the opportunity to massage Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha. With tears, Auntie Ouan recounted that the Princess was humble and that the chance to serve Her Royal Highness was the greatest blessing of her life and a memory she will cherish forever. She and her family also offered their deepest condolences and gratitude for the Princess's kindness.

In Udon Thani province, reporters visited Lim Phet Khao Khua Hua Hom restaurant, which is owned by Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha, Krom Luang Rajasarinisiripatchara. The restaurant owner, Mr. Chiewchan Sakpratimakorn, 59 years old, recounted that His Majesty the King favored the "Tiger's Tears" (grilled beef) dish, cooked over an old-fashioned charcoal grill. He said that during His Majesty's visits, customers were allowed to eat the dish as usual, showing no airs of royalty. Furthermore, His Majesty instructed that the restaurant not be closed.

"The feeling was indescribable. It was a great honor for my family and the restaurant. I still get goosebumps thinking about it. After that, when people learned that His Majesty had visited to dine, the 'Tiger's Tears' dish became increasingly popular and famous. Even though I no longer have the opportunity to serve His Majesty, that event was the greatest blessing in my life that I will never forget," he shared.
