Thai News Agency Collaborates with Chinese Media to Boost Information Sharing

Bangkok: The Thai News Agency, a subsidiary of MCOT Public Company Limited, has entered into a partnership with the Guangxi International Communication Center in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China to enhance information and news capabilities.

According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Xu Jinming, Head of International Communications at the Guangxi International Communication Center (GXICC), met with Mr. Nattapong Patarapong, Assistant Managing Director of the Thai News Agency (TNA), to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two organizations. The agreement aims to exchange information and foster mutual understanding between government agencies and the public. As part of the collaboration, they also inaugurated the GXICC Thailand office at the MCOT Broadcasting Building. This new office will be one of three overseas offices of GXICC in Southeast Asia, alongside the Philippines and Malaysia.

The Guangxi International Communication Center is an organization dedicated to international communications at the autonomous region level, managed by the Guangxi Daily newspaper. It was established jointly with Guangxi Radio and Television Station and is located in a strategic new area of innovation and AI technology in China. The center maintains close ties with ASEAN member countries, serving as a pivotal hub for presenting stories of China, including the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, to the global audience.

This media partnership between the Thai News Agency and the Guangxi International Communication Center is expected to support and promote the creation of a stronger community with a shared future between China, Thailand, and the ASEAN countries.
