Bangkok: The Ministry of Transport and the State Railway of Thailand (SRT) have been actively involved in the funeral rites for victims of the recent train-bus collision, offering their condolences and support to the grieving families.

According to Thai News Agency, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport Pipat Ratchakitprakarn, accompanied by senior officials from the Ministry of Transport and the State Railway of Thailand, attended the funeral rites at Wat Nam Daeng in Samut Prakan Province. The officials, including the Deputy Governor of the State Railway of Thailand and other high-ranking representatives, were present to express their sympathies and provide assistance to the bereaved families.

Deputy Governor Anan Pothinimdaeng and Dr. Kittikan Chomduang Charuwarapolkul, Director of the Bangkok Mass Transit Authority, attended another ceremony at Wat Tritotsathep Worawihan in Bangkok. Their presence aimed to show solidarity and offer support to those affected by the tragic incident.

The State Railway of Thailand has been proactive in its efforts to support the families of the deceased. This includes coordinating logistics for the reception and transportation of the deceased's bodies to their respective hometowns and facilitating religious ceremonies. The SRT's commitment extends to various locations, including Wat Khlong Nueng in Pathum Thani Province, Wat Phromwongsaram in Bangkok, and Wat Nam Phrae in Chiang Mai Province, where they have been actively participating in the funeral services.

The State Railway of Thailand has reiterated its commitment to providing continued care and assistance, working in coordination with relevant agencies to alleviate the impact on the affected families.
