Bangkok: Recently, Mr. Bhubing Thaweesap, Manager of Corporate Sustainability, and Ms. Kitiya Phakdeekratanamit, Manager of Greenhouse Gas Management, represented Thai Oil Public Company Limited in receiving the T-VER Awards 2025. They were recognized in the category of Best Carbon Credit Project for Energy and Heat Production Efficiency Improvement, acknowledging TOP SPP Co., Ltd.’s project for achieving the highest number of carbon credits certified by the Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (Public Organization) (TGO) in that category. Additionally, they were awarded the LESS Friendship Awards 2025 in the Best Organization, Silver Level category, for Thai Oil Public Company Limited’s significant efforts in reducing greenhouse gas emissions through its consistent support of greenhouse gas reduction (LESS) initiatives. The awards were presented at the TGO’s ‘Joining Forces to Reduce Global Warming, Towards a Sustainable Future’ event, with Dr. Chayanan Phakdeekit, Permanent Secretary of the Minis
try of Natural Resources and Environment, presiding over the ceremony at the Aswin Grand Ballroom, Aswin Grand Convention Hotel.
According to Thai News Agency, this recognition highlights Thai Oil Group’s dedication to leading efforts in reducing greenhouse gas emissions. This commitment aligns with their strategy to decrease emissions in their current production processes with the aim of achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions. The company actively promotes activities and the expansion of greenhouse gas reduction and storage among sustainable partners. Through these efforts, Thai Oil Group has generated over 1.6 million tons of carbon dioxide equivalent in carbon credits.
