Thai police: Thai police have launched a manhunt for three hooded suspects who stormed the home of a British national in Chonburi province late Wednesday, escaping with a safe containing 2 million baht (about 64,000) in cash.

According to Thai News Agency, the suspects, described as large-framed men who appeared to be foreign nationals, entered the Nong Prue townhouse at approximately 11:00 p.m. armed with knives. One intruder held a blade to the throat of a 32-year-old British chef, demanding the location of his valuables while forcing his Thai wife and a friend into the kitchen.

The gang seized a security safe containing the cash-which the victims had recently withdrawn to purchase a house-along with their mobile phones. CCTV footage shows the suspects, dressed in black hoodies and masks, calmly exiting the residence and fleeing in a black pickup truck that crashed through the estate's security barrier.

Pol. Col. Nattapol Phongsuksakul, Superintendent of Nong Prue Police, confirmed that investigators are currently analyzing surveillance data along the escape route. While initial checkpoints failed to intercept the vehicle, forensic teams are working to identify the group, who remain at large.
