Satta som: A Thai soldier stepped on a landmine while clearing an area in Satta Som, Kantaralak District, Sisaket Province. Medical personnel are providing close care.
According to Thai News Agency, on December 29, 2025, a mine-scanning unit from an engineer company, attached to the Suranaree Task Force, carried out a mission in the Satta Som area, Kantaralak District, Sisaket Province.
At 10:15 AM, a soldier, identified as Staff Sergeant Suchin Jitkriyan, stepped on a landmine while on duty. Initially, the injured were classified as a red case. Emergency personnel provided immediate assistance and transported them for medical treatment. They are currently under close medical supervision.
Relevant agencies are currently conducting a thorough investigation of the surrounding area to prevent a recurrence of the incident and will further strengthen security measures for personnel serving in the border area.
