Thai Stock Market Declines Amid Low Trading Volume

Bangkok: Thai stocks closed the morning session down 8.54 points. The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) closed this morning at 1,300.32 points, down 8.54 points (-0.65%), with a trading value of approximately 19.373 billion baht.

According to Thai News Agency, the SET’s decline was linked to a base adjustment, as the market saw low trading volume and lacked new catalysts to drive investment. Investors are currently focused on the upcoming earnings reports from listed companies. Additionally, international factors have exerted pressure on the market, notably the rising US bond yields and a stronger dollar.

The market faced notable selling pressure in petrochemical stocks during the morning session. Analysts predict continued fluctuation in the market, with expectations of it remaining in negative territory into the afternoon. They identified support levels at 1,300 points and 1,280 points, with resistance at 1,320 points.
