Thai Stock Market Declines with SET Index Down 14.20 Points

Bangkok: Thai stocks closed down 14.20 points, with the SET index closing today at 1,479.71 points. This marks a decrease of 0.95%, with a trading volume of 90,486.03 million baht.

According to Thai News Agency, the decline in the Thai stock market today was attributed to risk-reducing selling across several sectors. Investors are currently cautious as they await the announcement of earnings results from listed companies and monitor domestic political developments. Additionally, the MSCI index reduction has contributed to market sentiments. Despite the overall decline, the banking sector showed resilience, remaining in positive territory following recent dividend announcements. Analysts predict that the index will likely remain stable in the coming week, with support levels anticipated at 1,470 - 1,475 points and resistance expected at 1,490 points.
