Thai Stock Market Rises by 9.33 Points Amid Portfolio Adjustments

Bangkok: Thai stocks closed up 9.33 points today as the Stock Exchange of Thailand ended the trading session at 1,288.07 points, marking an increase with a trading value of 37.86 billion baht.

According to Thai News Agency, analysts indicated that the Thai stock market experienced a surge towards the end of the day. This uptick was driven by buying back from previous selling activities, with larger stocks showing gains across all sectors. The market movement is attributed to speculation that both institutional and foreign investors are in the process of adjusting their portfolios.

The futures market is anticipated to rollover, with expectations of foreign investors returning as the fourth quarter begins. The government’s first policy statement did not offer any surprises, leaving international factors, such as upcoming US labor figures, as key points of interest. Analysts predict an upward trend continuing into tomorrow, with resistance expected at 1,293 and 1,300 points, and support identified at 1,284 and 1,279 points.
