Thai Women’s Volleyball Team Triumphs Over France, Advances to Hong Kong

Beijing: The Thai women’s volleyball team has achieved a significant victory by defeating France in the 2025 Nations League, setting the stage for their upcoming competition in Hong Kong. ‘Coach Oat’ expressed his satisfaction with the team’s performance, as they secured their first win in the tournament’s initial phase. The team is now preparing for their next challenge, a match against Japan on June 18.

According to Thai News Agency, the Week 1, Group 3, Match 4 of the 2025 Women’s Volleyball Nations League took place at the National Stadium in Beijing, China. The Thai team emerged victorious in their fourth match, overcoming France with a score of 3-1 sets (25-14, 19-25, 25-23, and 25-13). This victory marked their first success in the event, propelling them from 17th to 14th place in the global rankings. Pimpichaya Kokram, also known as “Beam,” was the standout performer, scoring 19 points, the highest for the Thai team.

Post-match, ‘Coach Oat’ Kiattipong Rachata-kriangkrai, the head coach of the Thai women’s volleyball team, expressed his delight and commended the athletes and staff for their hard-earned victory. He acknowledged the team’s near wins in previous matches and highlighted their resilience and determination.

Team members Dolporn Sinpho and Natthanicha Jaisan noted that the team had effectively addressed mistakes from previous games, contributing to their success. Looking ahead, the Thai women’s team is set to compete against Japan on June 18 in Hong Kong, as they continue their journey in the Nations League.
