Bangkok: The government is set to host a significant event, "THAILAND²," on July 21st, aimed at presenting the achievements of five key ministries over the last 90 days. This event is designed to highlight efforts in upgrading future skills and boosting economic growth exponentially.
According to Thai News Agency, Lieutenant Colonel Patthadarasmi Thongslueykorn, Deputy Spokesperson for the Prime Minister's Office, has revealed that the "THAILAND² Empowering Thailand, Upgrading Human Capital" event marks a major collaboration between five ministries. The goal is to create opportunities and develop skills for Thais across various groups and professions, while transforming education, science, research, and innovation to meet modern world demands. The event will be held at Kasetsart University at 1:00 PM, with Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul presiding over the opening ceremony.
The concept of "squared" or exponential growth is central to the event, focusing on sustainable development with a people-centered approach. It aims to expand learning opportunities by distributing capital and education more equitably, reducing inequality, and producing highly skilled workers for future industries such as digital technology, AI, and new energy sectors. The initiative also promotes innovation by transforming research into practical tools for solving everyday challenges and generating income.
The Deputy Spokesperson further detailed that the THAILAND² event will demonstrate the results of the past 90 days and the concrete policies on human development from the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security, and the Ministry of Labour. The event will include team-building activities to enhance the potential of Thai people collectively. The public is invited to attend the event for free or follow it through a live broadcast on Facebook Live via the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation.
