Thailand and Singapore Strengthen Ties Through Ambitious Land Bridge Project

Bangkok: Thailand and Singapore are advancing their collaboration on the ambitious land bridge project, seeking mutual economic benefits and regional development. The Prime Minister of Thailand, Anutin Charnvirakul, engaged in discussions with Singapore's Coordinating Minister for Public Services and Minister of Defence, Mr. Chang Chun Ching, highlighting the shared interest in investing in this significant infrastructure venture.

According to Thai News Agency, both nations have also committed to enhancing cooperation in military security, aviation, maritime industries, and energy security. They aim to foster regional self-sufficiency through these initiatives. The project envisions the construction of ports and the development of industries to support long-distance travel, thus promising a considerable boost to the economic landscape.

In parallel developments, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport, Pipat Ratchakitprakarn, is set to visit the land bridge project site. His visit is part of efforts to gather public opinions ahead of a formal public hearing.
