The project aims to elevate the image of Rayong from an industrial city to an "Art City," while simultaneously boosting the local economy and tourism sector.
According to Thai News Agency, the Ministry of Culture, led by Minister Sabida Thaiseth, has been actively visiting Rayong Province to assess the preparations for the Thailand Biennale, Rayong 2027. Minister Thaiseth highlighted Rayong's potential in venue preparations and the strong cooperation across various sectors. This collaboration is expected to transform Rayong's image and foster a creative economy by merging art, the environment, and industry. The Ministry, in conjunction with Rayong Province, plans to appoint an Art Director to guide the festival's main concept and select appropriate sites for art installations. The establishment of an information center, set to open on July 14th, aims to provide educational resources and promote the event and tourism in Rayong, spotlighting its unique attractions.
All involved sectors are optimistic that Rayong's robust potential and cooperative spirit will facilitate effective management of the necessary infrastructure and facilities.
