According to Thai News Agency, the forecast for the next 24 hours indicates that while the Northeast and East regions are at high risk, other parts of the country, including the North, Central, and Southern regions, will also experience heavy rain in some areas.

The public is urged to be vigilant as the heavy and prolonged rainfall poses the threat of flash floods, landslides, and mudslides, particularly in hillside areas, near waterways, and low-lying regions. Travelers are advised to steer clear of routes that are prone to repeated flooding due to these conditions.

This weather pattern is attributed to a monsoon trough stretching across the upper southern, eastern, and lower northeastern regions of Thailand, advancing towards a robust low-pressure system in central Vietnam. Additionally, a moderate southwest monsoon is impacting the lower Andaman Sea, lower southern Thailand, and the lower Gulf of Thailand.

Mariners are cautioned about moderate wave conditions in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand, where waves in the upper Andaman Sea can reach approximately 2 meters. Areas experiencing thunderstorms may see waves exceeding 2 meters, and it is advised that mariners exercise caution and avoid these areas.

In the North, there is a 60% chance of thunderstorms with heavy rainfall expected in areas including Tak, Kamphaeng Phet, and Phitsanulok. Temperatures will range from 21-37 degrees Celsius with northeasterly winds at 10-20 km/h.

The Northeast faces a 70% chance of thunderstorms, with heavy rain anticipated in provinces such as Bueng Kan, Udon Thani, and Ubon Ratchathani. Temperatures will range from 22-32 degrees Celsius with variable winds at 10-25 km/h.
