Bangkok: The Ministry of Commerce is optimistic about concluding negotiations with China for the sale of 500,000 tons of rice by the end of this year. Commerce Minister Suphajee Suthumpun has indicated that discussions aimed at addressing the issue of declining Thai rice prices are underway, following talks with President Xi Jinping.
According to Thai News Agency, the Ministry of Commerce is deliberating whether the rice will be sold in one complete lot or in stages.
