Thailand Launches Volunteer Program for 33rd SEA Games Under “Ever Forward” Vision

Bangkok: The Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT) has officially launched a volunteer initiative for the upcoming 33rd Southeast Asian (SEA) Games, aligning with the vision “EVER FORWARD” to enhance their readiness in welcoming ASEAN participants.

According to Thai News Agency, the orientation ceremony was presided over by Dr. Kongsak Yodmanee, Governor of the SAT. The event was attended by prominent figures such as Colonel Chaiphak Siriwat and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Supit Samahito, both Vice Presidents of the National Olympic Committee of Thailand, along with Rear Admiral Athinath Pajayakrit. The gathering included lecturers and volunteers committed to supporting the SEA Games.

The volunteer orientation program is designed to equip personnel with skills to effectively welcome and support VIPs, sports federation representatives, and athletic teams throughout the competition. These volunteers, representing Thailand, are tasked with creating a positive first impression and maintaining high standards of hospitality. Their responsibilities span from greeting delegates at the airport to ensuring smooth operations during training and competitions.

The program aims to inspire volunteers and instill a sense of importance in their roles. It focuses on developing necessary knowledge, skills, and attitudes while fostering pride and confidence. The initiative also seeks to promote a deep-rooted sports culture in Thai society. A total of 225 participants, including liaison officers and volunteers from various institutions, are involved in this effort, all working to create a “spectacle beyond competition” under the guiding principle of “Green Sea Games” for sustainable success.
