Bangkok: The Election Commission of Thailand (ECT) recently conducted an inspection of its Election War Room, which is also operating as a cybersecurity monitoring center. This initiative is part of the preparations for the upcoming 2026 parliamentary elections and referendums.

According to Thai News Agency, Colonel Sarapchai Huwanand, President and CEO of National Telecommunications Public Company Limited (NT), accompanied Mr. Narong Rakroi, Election Commissioner, and his team during their visit to the Cyber Security Monitoring and Safety Center. The inspection took place in the meeting room on the 4th floor of Building 20, Chaengwattana Office.

NT has been entrusted by the ECT to create a Cyber Security Monitoring and Security Center to support the commission's objectives in ensuring transparency, accuracy, and reliability for the 2026 general election. The center is designed to monitor, investigate, and prevent cyber threats across network services, communication systems, and related information technology systems. This will aid the ECT in developing strategies for cybersecurity prevention and maintenance. NT is employing internationally standardized cybersecurity technologies to detect, analyze, and respond to any abnormal events that may impact the security of data and critical systems during the election period, operating 24 hours a day.
