Thailand’s Prime Minister Strengthens Ties with Singapore During Visit

Bangkok:Thailand's Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul, who also serves as the Minister of Home Affairs, attended a tea reception hosted by Singaporean Prime Minister Lawrence Wong at the Shangri-La Hotel. This reception marked the beginning of his visit to Singapore, aimed at reinforcing the close ties between the two countries.

According to Thai News Agency, the Thai Prime Minister's visit is centered around his participation in the 24th Forbes Global CEO Conference. This prestigious event gathers business leaders, investors, and senior executives from around the globe. Prime Minister Anutin plans to use this platform to highlight Thailand's economic potential and direction, aiming to boost confidence among global investors and open avenues for trade and investment.

During the tea reception, the two leaders engaged in informal discussions, emphasizing the strong relationship between Thailand and Singapore. They exchanged views on various areas of cooperation, including economics, trade, investment, the digital economy, and connectivity. These discussions aim to create economic opportunities and enhance the competitiveness of both nations.

Following the reception, Prime Minister Anutin is scheduled to meet with executives from Forbes Media before partaking in the conference. He will also engage in a one-on-one dialogue with Steve Forbes to directly communicate Thailand's economic potential to the attending global business leaders and investors.

The Prime Minister's participation in the Forbes forum is seen as a crucial opportunity to present Thailand's strengths to international investors.
