Bangkok: Mr. Chaichanok Chidchob, Minister of Digital Economy and Society, assigned the ministry spokesperson to report the results of the Anti-Fake News Center’s fake news detection from November 28 to December 4, 2025. Of the 102 fake news items that were verified, over 1.05 million messages were found in the system. Online crimes were the most popular category, with the top 10 most likely to be deceptive and appear credible.
According to Thai News Agency, one of the most prevalent fake news stories involves OR opening a LINE account under the name amazonth069, inviting investors to invest in fake Cafe Amazon shares. Other notable scams include a fake website claiming to be the SEC offering investment scams, a work-from-home page promising bag-packing services with a daily income of 550 baht, and the LINE account amzn_or falsely claiming SEC certification for investments in Cafe Amazon.
Additional scams reported include an AMLO-approved page supposedly accepting complaints for victim protection and an online trading instruction page fraudulently claiming PTT’s privileges by promoting OR stock investments through the “Thailand Amazon market” page. There is also a distorted narrative linking the creation of Cambodia’s “Golden Boy” to Thailand. Furthermore, the Anti-Corruption Office has allegedly opened a page titled “Anti-Corruption Join hands to help” for refund contacts, and Hua Seng Heng has reportedly launched the Line hsh_advisor to provide fake investment advice, especially targeting the number 1 DE.
The Ministry of Digital Economy and Society has coordinated with OR, confirming that the account in question is entirely fake. OR has made it clear that it has never opened investments through Line and has no policy of selling Cafe Amazon stock.
