Thaksin Advises Sereepisuth to Behave Amidst Deputy Prime Minister Speculations

Bangkok: Former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra has advised Pol. Gen. Sereepisuth Temiyaves, referred to as “Nuri,” to conduct himself well if he wishes to become a deputy prime minister. Thaksin also revealed that he had previously requested the deputy prime minister position, though it led to disagreements. He remains unperturbed by the court’s upcoming decision on the 14th floor issue, scheduled for the end of April.

According to Thai News Agency, Thaksin commented on Sereepisuth’s statement about sending him to jail, suggesting that observers watch for any potential escape attempts on April 29th. Thaksin mentioned that he had advised “Nu Ree” to behave and communicate appropriately to achieve the deputy prime minister role. Despite admitting to previously seeking the position, Thaksin noted that resulting tensions were resolved without any lingering issues.

Addressing the possibility of personal animosity influencing the announcement, Thaksin expressed indifference, considering misunderstandings to be a common occurrence in his political life.

Regarding the Supreme Court’s Criminal Division for Holders of Political Positions’ scheduled hearing on the 14th floor issue, Thaksin assured that the proceedings were standard and urged the public not to be concerned for him. He emphasized that everything was proceeding as expected and there was no cause for alarm.
