Thaksin Shinawatra’s Children Visit Him as Election Approaches

Bangkok: "Oak" and "Aim," the children of former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra, recently paid him a visit, confirming that he is in good health and had no specific messages for political parties ahead of the February 8th election.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Panthongtae Shinawatra, known as Oak, and Ms. Pintongta Shinawatra, known as Aim, along with their spouses, Mr. Nattapong Kunakornwong and Ms. Natthiya Puangkhum, visited Thaksin. They were accompanied by Thaksin's lawyer, Mr. Winyat Chatmontri. The visit lasted approximately 40 minutes, after which the family interacted with a gathering of Red Shirt supporters who had come to show their support. Notably, one supporter mentioned traveling from New York City, USA, specifically to visit Thaksin.

Ms. Pintongta reported that her father was doing well. However, when questioned about the impact of Mr. Thaksin's parole news on the party's election campaign morale, she avoided answering and shifted the discussion.

Mr. Nattapong added that Thaksin is in good health, reiterating that he had no special messages for the political entities ahead of the upcoming election, focusing instead on Thaksin's well-being.
