Bangkok: Former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra has called on authorities to take action against individuals falsely claiming close ties with him. Thaksin emphasized the need for police to incarcerate those who engage in deception, specifically targeting imposters posing as high-society figures associated with him.
According to Thai News Agency, Thaksin addressed accusations involving a person pretending to have a strong connection with him and claiming involvement in the founding of the Pheu Thai Party. Thaksin dismissed these claims, clarifying that he frequently obliges requests for photographs, which should not be misconstrued as proof of personal relationships. He urged the public to remain skeptical of such assertions and reiterated that these deceptive practices should not go unpunished.
