Government House, "Kham", deputy government spokesman, revealed that the Cabinet has approved a draft ministerial regulation on the control of signs or structures for installing or erecting signs with a height not exceeding 6 meters and an area not exceeding 75 square meters. Mr. Karom Polpornklang, deputy government spokesman, revealed that the cabinet has approved the principle of the draft ministerial regulation on the control of signs or structures built for the installation or installation of signs in accordance with the Building Control Act (No. ..) B.E. ... as proposed by the Ministry of Interior and has sent it to the Office of the Council of State for consideration and further action. The Ministry of Interior will consider the opinion of the Ministry of Transport and take action accordingly. Mr. Karam said that the main point of the draft is to amend the regulations on the height and setback of signs on the roof or rooftop of buildings and signs or structures built for installing or erecting signs that are installed directly on the ground to be appropriate and consistent with the current situation, including to relax the signs or structures built for installing or erecting signs that existed before the Ministerial Regulation on Controlling Signs or structures built for installing or erecting signs under the Building Control Act B.E. 2558 came into force and are strong and stable, can apply for a construction permit under the specified conditions, and the Building Control Committee has resolved to approve the draft Ministerial Regulation as follows: 1. Amend the regulations on the height and setback of signs on the roof or rooftop of buildings and signs or structures that are installed or set up signs that are installed directly on the ground as follows: 1.1 Signs on the roof or rooftop of a building must not extend beyond the outer wall of the building. The height of the sign must not exceed 6 meters and the area of ??the sign must not exceed 75 square meters (not taking the height of the building in to consideration, so that only the height of the sign is considered). Currently, it is stipulated that signs on the roof or rooftop of a building must not extend beyond the outer wall of the building. The height of the sign must not exceed 6 meters and the height of the sign and the building combined must not exceed 30 meters when measured from the ground level. The area of ??the sign must not exceed 75 meters. 1.2 Specify the height of signs or structures for installing signs directly on the ground. They must not be higher than 30 meters, not longer than 32 meters, and must be at least the height of the sign from the boundary line of the land that is not near the public road. Except in cases where it is at least 6 meters from the boundary line, written consent from the owner of the adjacent land on that side must be obtained (so that the height of signs built on the side of the public road is not limited by the height that must be measured horizontally from the edge of the sign to the center of the public r oad near the sign). Currently, it is stipulated that signs or structures for installing or erecting signs installed directly on the ground must not be higher than the distance measured horizontally 1 from the edge of the sign to the center of the public road near the sign. They must not be higher than 30 meters and not longer than 32 meters. 1.3 Relaxing the conditions for signs or structures for installing or erecting signs that existed before the Ministerial Regulation on Sign Control B.E. 2558 came into force, allowing permission to be requested for construction as follows: (1) The regulations on the characteristics, size, distance, height, setback and area shall be carried out as prescribed by law at the time of construction of the sign. For example, a sign constructed in 2007 shall be carried out in accordance with the regulations in Ministerial Regulation No. 55 (2000) issued under the Building Control Act B.E. 2522. In the case of a sign constructed for installation or installation on the roof or roo ftop of a building, it shall not extend beyond the outer wall of the building, and the top of the sign or the structure constructed for installation or installation of the sign shall not be higher than 6 meters from the highest part of the roof or rooftop of the building where the sign is installed. Or in the case of a sign installed directly on the ground, its height shall not exceed the distance measured from the point where the sign is installed to the center of the nearest public road, and the length of the sign shall not exceed 32 meters. However, there are two conditions: (1) a sign on the roof or rooftop of a building shall not extend beyond the outer wall of the building, and (2) the area and height of the sign shall not be increased. (2) The owner or possessor of the said sign must submit a request for a building permit within 180 days from the date the new Ministerial Regulation comes into force, together with one of the following evidence showing that the sign existed before the date the Ministeri al Regulation on Sign Control comes into force: (1) evidence of the inspection of the sign in accordance with Section 32 bis 2, (2) evidence of payment of sign tax, and (3) other evidence.
