Nakhon Ratchasima Rajabhat University, Deputy Cabinet Spokesperson reveals that the Cabinet has approved the implementation of the investment expenditure project to use the loan to develop the economy and society, develop the public health service system in 5 provinces, budget 8,510 million baht. Ms. Kanika Unjit, deputy government spokeswoman, revealed that today (July 2, 2024), the Cabinet resolved to approve the proposal by the Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) to the Office of the Permanent Secretary for Public Health (OPS) to implement the investment expenditure project to use the loan for economic and social development (the project to develop the public health service system, Office of the Permanent Secretary for Public Health, Ministry of Public Health) for all 5 hospitals with a budget of 8,510.08 million baht, as follows: (1) Nakhon Ping Hospital, Chiang Mai Province (2) Sawang Pracharak Hospital, Nakhon Sawan Province (3) Phra Pok Klao Hospital, Chanthaburi Province (4) Makarak Hospital, Kanch anaburi Province (5) Maharat Nakhon Ratchasima Hospital, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, by having the Ministry of Finance (MOF) procure a loan source in accordance with the public debt plan, with the ratio of the loan source and budget to be in accordance with the agreement of MOF with the loan source. This project proposed by the MOF is one of the important projects to develop the healthcare service system, upgrade and develop the infrastructure to be modern in accordance with international standards. and expand the number of beds for providing services and supporting outpatients, inpatients and critical patients, whose numbers increase every year, so that people can access public health services that are universal, equal and of quality. As for the budget burden that will occur, the Budget Bureau sees fit for the Ministry of Finance to procure a source of loans in accordance with the public debt plan, with the ratio of the source of loans and the budget to be in accordance with the agreement of the Ministry of Finance with the source of loans. In this case, if the project requires a debt obligation for more than one fiscal year for budget items with a budget of 1,000 million baht or more, it is appropriate for the Cabinet to approve the Ministry of Public Health to submit a request for an annual budget according to Section 26 of the Budget Procedure Act B.E. 2561.
